Examples of repairs and restoration undertaken -
Before:
1960's vegetable tanned leather bag
- Dry, hard leather with rotten stitching
After:
- Bag was carefully taken apart.
- Deep clean and leather nourished using oils and balms.
- Saddle stitched back together.
Before :
- Broken Buckle.
- Hook buckle had snapped in half.
After:
- New Buckle
- Retained the metal keeper and sourced a buckle to match colour and finish.
- Hand stitched back together as original.
Before:
YSL white leather bag with horn handle
- Straps had delaminated and leather was worn and in need of re-colour.
- Lining in need of deep clean.
- Horn handle was dehydrated and in need of deep clean.
After:
- Deep clean inside and out.
- Straps reinforced, glued and edge stained.
- Holes in binding filled with leather filler.
